That Old Attitude of Gratitude by Paul Warren
Okay. Just because it rhymes doesn't mean it isn't true. It sounds cute and popular, but it is a powerful device nonetheless when you're dealing with the law of attraction. In the Bible Jesus teaches that we should give thanks for everything. He really didn't go into much reasoning why.
But the fact that he mentioned the necessity of thanksgiving means that Jesus was indeed aware of the law of attraction.
Do you give thanks for everything that comes into your life? The secret law of attraction will give you many more reasons to be thankful, once you begin the habit of gratitude. One way to jump start this law of attraction in your life is to keep a gratitude journal.
Every night before you go to bed, record five things in your life you're grateful for. They don't have to be elaborate reasons. They can be as simple as a loving family or the shelter that keeps you from the elements.
You will find, through the law, that as you do this, you'll receive even more reasons to be thankful. The universe will provide you with more things that you can list in your gratitude journal once you start cultivating that habit. And then before you know it, you're realizing how wonderful life is. And then, much to your amazement, your long cherished dreams are beginning to come true.
And its all because of a few changes in attitude. When you allow the law of attraction to work through your life without struggle, there isn't much that this amazing law cannot do!
The Bible says that "in all things give thanks." What it doesn't say is that this practice certainly speeds up the mechanism of the universal laws of attraction.
Yes, the universal laws of attraction are indeed referenced in the Bible. Of course, there is no big chapter marked 'law of attraction'. But, if you read the New Testament and really think about it, its very obvious.
We are advised to "Seek and we shall find", "Knock and it shall be open." Jesus even refers to the laws of attraction when he tells us that if we have the faith of a mustard seed we can move mountains.
And St.Paul too allowed the universal laws of attraction to work in his life. He told fellow Christians to think only thoughts that were pure, holy and good. He implied that if you kept your thoughts on only the good things in life, you would attract the good things in life.
The universal laws of attraction are not some hot, radical new idea that some marketing firm created. Oh, no. They have been around forever -- even harking back to the ancient Sanskrit scriptures of the Vedas.
But, in the past many of us dismissed them without even a doubt. We wrongly assumed that the law is nothing more than mere superstition. Perhaps some of us wrongly believed that the law of attraction is merely an old wives tale rather than an actual law. And certainly many of us do not think that the law of attraction is a "law" in the real sense that the law of gravity is.
Just remember that the universal laws of attraction are at work, no matter what your thoughts are. And the universal laws of attraction will bring you exactly what you think the most about.
So beginning tonight, before you go to sleep, record at least five things for which you're grateful. This first night it just might be difficult, but as you keep up this amazing habit, you'll find that, thanks to the secret law of attraction, it gets much easier.
