Was Jesus Christ a Long Haired Effeminate Looking Wimp? - Part 6 by Charles Crosby
Was Jesus Christ a liberal do-gooding reformer and did He want us to be? The answer is no and no and I won't spend any more time on this question as I have already answered it elsewhere in this series of articles.
Would Jesus Christ have stood shoulder to shoulder with Dr Martin Luther King? Now this question is a little more interesting as it involves a mainstream Christian pastor or minister and I will not comment on whether or not he was a true minister of God as I never heard him preach. What I will say about him though is that like many more mainstream Christian ministers he got involved with the cares of this world - politics, a big mistake and one that eventually cost him his life. At the time of his death he was actively involved in supporting a garbage workers strike, again a political activity and a misguided and very unwise decision on his part. We must also understand that he didn't make himself unpopular for preaching the Word of God but rather for upsetting people of a certain political persuasion. This meant he took sides with people of another political persuasion. This is worldliness, not Godliness.
Nearly all mainstream Christians I have talked to have no understanding of the precedent set by The Lord Jesus Christ when he stood on trial in front of Pontius Pilate. I will, therefore, write out these verses here and hope that there are some of you out there that understand what The Lord Jesus Christ was saying when He taught us by setting this powerful and crucial example:
John 18:33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? 34 Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? 35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? 36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. 38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.
There it is in black and white and as plain as plain can be: My Kingdom is not of this world!!! This means that whatever goes on in this world it has nothing to do with Born Again sons or daughters of God. If we are Born Again we are not of this world - the lusts of what it offers, its positions of power, its religions, its systems of governance, its politics, its corruptions, its idolatry of celebrity, its prejudices, its wars, its sexual perversions, its evils and its wickedness. None of it is anything to do with us if we're Born Again we are only here to bear witness to The Truth and The Truth is a person - The Lord Jesus Christ.
Now if we were to put Dr Martin Luther King in front of Pilate would he have had a case against him? Could Dr King have given Pilate the same answers as The Lord Jesus Christ. No, because Dr King was very much involved with this world and spent many years actively trying to change it. In contrast, The Lord Jesus Christ didn't get involved with the injustices of Judea at the time of the Roman occupation, but Barabbas did. By comparison Dr King was a trouble maker - peaceful demonstrations or not. He was rocking the political boat of the USA and in doing so attempting to change Satan's world. Now here is the crunch question: could Pilate have said this about Dr Martin Luther King - "I find in him no fault at all."? The crux of the matter is that Dr Martin Luther King would have been a thorn in Pontius Pilate's flesh had he been around in the first century.
Matt 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Here again we can see that the world and all its kingdoms belong to Satan and sons of God should not get involved with the governance of Satan's world.
John 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. Here The Lord Jesus Christ is praying to The Father and declaring that those who are to be Born Again will not be of this world just as He was not of this world. Now these are the fundamentals which Dr Martin Luther King did not understand. He made the big mistake of trying change this world - Satan's world with all its evil injustices, something that sons of God are not called to do in this world or age. In the world to come though things will be very different as The Lord Jesus Christ shepherds all the nations with a rod of iron. Then and only then will we see injustice wiped from the face of the earth.
Was Jesus Christ weak or meek? For many silly 'Christians' fallaciously think meekness is some form of never ending martyrdom or what I call the doormat 'Christian' lifestyle - come on guys I'm a Christian, walk all over me, I love it!
Well if we are to believe what most of Christendom teaches, backed up by its wimp 'Jesus' images, then meekness is just another form of weakness. This word 'meek' has always been to me one of those KJV 'iffy' words, you know, one of those suspect words that the 'experts' tip toe around and pontificate on for hours and then never give a satisfactory answer. Well they do that to all the Holy Scriptures so we shouldn't be surprised with their treatment of this word. So let's cut out the waffle and get straight to it: Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth, and here is the Greek rendering of the same verse:
Happy (makarios) the meek (praus) (meek ones) that they shall be enjoying the allotment the land.
Ok this word 'meek' from the Concise Oxford English Dictionary: piously humble and submissive: submitting tamely to injury etc. Piously humble!? What a load of Church of England/Anglican and quasi Papist religious clap trap. Still it goes well with the wimp 'Jesus' images and no wonder Christians think they should be doormats.
So let's get this translation correct and then we will begin to see the wood from the trees. First off we have 'blessed' in the KJV and 'happy' in the Greek, so which is correct? Neither, as the word should be joyful as joy is a gift of the Holy Spirit not happiness. Happiness is always dependent upon happenings - part of the unsaved human condition.
Then we have this Greek word 'praus' which does not mean 'meek'. Meekness is for self-righteous religious effeminate wimps with all their artificial skin deep piety. Praus is for tough guy sons of God and He-men and means strength, might and power, under control. Under what control? The control of Jesus Christ via the Holy Spirit. So let's re-write this verse as it should read: Joyous are those whom God will make powerful, mighty and strong for they shall inherit the earth or the land. Sounds a bit different from the wimp version does it not? Why is the wimp version written the way it is? Easy, to keep Christians under the heel of the boots of 21st century Pharisees or men of religion. Doormat 'Christians' is what they want so that, as a Christian, you never come to your full potential as a son or daughter of God and brother of The Lord Jesus Christ. We must understand that the wimp 'Jesus' is their lackey and all they want is more subservient wimp lackeys. Not free individuals living under His glorious Grace
